Gift wrapping is a very popular fund raising activity with many organisations. Setting up shop in your local shopping centre at Christmas can earn valuable dollars for you or your designated charity. Most shopping centres will donate an area if it is for charity – you may need to provide your own tables. Buying your giftwrap in bulk rolls will make it an economical activity.
You will also need a selection of ribbons – most floristry wholesalers now carry a beautiful selection of ribbons, ranging from cheap paper ribbons to luxurious organzas. Set your prices according to the size of the items you are wrapping, or make it a gold coin donation.
Have a training day for your volunteers in advance and practice how to make bows.
