Cookbooks
A tried and proven fundraiser is to produce your own cookbook. Your
cookbook can have a theme such as favourite recipes, fabulous deserts,
low fat etc.
You can ask each ethnic group in your school to provide a section and
produce an international cookbook, recipes for children party foods,
Christmas and other seasons. The co-ordinator of the book will need to
take responsibility for sourcing and collating the recipes. The book
then needs to be desktop published ready for printing. You can increase
your fundraiser by running a competition to design the cover. Charge $1
per entry and you can easily raise more $$$. Run a teatowel, apron or
spice fundraiser in conjunction with the cookbooks - these would make
great packages for mother's or father's day.
